Summary:
Think and Grow Rich for Women is a powerful book—from the award-winning author of: Three Feet from Gold and co-author of the multi-million-selling Rich Dad, Poor Dad. It combines Napoleon Hill’s classic Thirteen Steps to Success with case studies of highly successful women (including Maya Angelou, Katie Couric, Caroline Kennedy, Madonna, Oprah Winfrey, Margaret Thatcher, Condoleeza Rice, J. K. Rowling, Angela Merkel, Mary Kay Ash amongst others). The premise of the book is to provide a master plan for success for all women but the tips can be applied by everyone.
Content Overview:
Women are the future of American business. According to a recent Nielsen report, women will control two-thirds of American consumer wealth in less than a decade. And yet almost all business and success literature is still written for men. With most dishing out advice that doesn’t take into account women’s unique strengths or address the demands of family life on mothers.
Using techniques outlined in Napoleon Hill’s best-selling Think and Grow Rich, this book challenges readers to take control of their financial destinies. Lechter positively recognises the opportunities for women today, particularly from an education and corporate standpoint. Whilst not ignoring the difficulties women still face. She outlines a bright future with women on the cusp of controlling two-thirds of the consumer wealth in the United States. The book’s focus on women is inspirational, including a variety of quotes from successful women – a refreshing change from the male-dominated voice in similar titles. The book helps readers create their own success strategies, taking readers step-by-step through the programme. Lechter focuses on spirituality (religious and otherwise), the acquiring of knowledge, and the significance of imagination and persistence. The belief and reinforcement of the benefits of purpose and hard work are encouraging and female Hill fans will be glad to see a book that acknowledges their ambitions.
Rating: 9/10
Great book – really inspiring, not just for women – for all of us. Great use of case studies whilst still keeping true to the classic 13 Steps to Success from Napoleon Hill’s original book. Each chapter ends with an ‘Ask Yourself’ section which summarises the chapter and helps you to apply the concepts learned.
