Content Overview:
Neville Wright, dyslexic and with ADHD, has had an extraordinary career. This book takes you from his first of many jobs at the age of 7 working for a local milkman to getting fired from his 17th job at the age of 24, to committing himself on 26 September 1974 to becoming self-employed. Neville’s book, ‘The Answer is Yes Now What is the Question,’ contains everything that life has thrown at him. In it, he outlines how he turned his fortunes around in 1974 by becoming responsible, for his life, his work and his income – taking responsibility for himself and his family’s future. In doing so, he stopped letting other people dictate his path and his salary and took control.
He started his business by investing 37p on a piece of scrim (a window cleaning cloth) and began a window cleaning business which eventually led him to expand into property and then retail. Together, with his wife Marilyn, they created Kiddicare from just an idea into the largest independent baby nursery business in the UK. It outlines their successes and failures leading up to 2011, when he sold the business that had just one shop for an amazing 70 million pounds in cash. His hard work and ethics shine through, as does his commitment to customer service, honesty and family values. As well as his successful baby business, he also built up a portfolio of commercial properties which by 2011 were valued at 20 million pounds. However, this is not a story of luck but a motivating, practical read from someone who’s been there, done that. His simple storytelling will make you both laugh and cry, but never fail to inspire. Now, Neville is both an author and a public speaker and has worked with over 2700 people, helping them to start and grow their own businesses all over the world.
He also continues creating businesses with others in the UK today.
The message is clear – you can create your own future with hard work and application and he’s the ultimate proof of that.
